UPHOLSTERY Every frame of furniture in Nina Campbell's collection is made using the finest quality kiln-dried Beech
or maple. The frames are all glued, screwed and dowelled together. After passing through the polish shop,
where all showwood is hand polished, they arrive in our upholstery workshop.
The same craftsmen upholsters an individual piece from start to finish; this includes all inspecting,
cutting and sewing of the fabric. Most of our seats have a unique eight-way hand-tied coil-sprung
system
(shown in picture 1). This is a very time-consuming process but the level of comfort is well worth it.
1. Eight-way tied seat springs
The backs of our sofas and chairs are also coil sprung using pocket springs (shown in picture 2) followed
by layers of soft cotton, felt and foam. A choice of seat cushions is available to achieve any comfort
level you desire.
2. Pocket sprung back.
With this method of upholstery and using the spring down seat cushion (shown in picture 3) in a three-seat
Chambers sofa, there would be approximately 500 coil springs.
When ordering the larger pieces, we recommend checking the measurements of doorways to ensure furniture
can be delivered into the room. For an added cost, all pieces can be put together on site.
